psalms - the ageless book of praise

"As we read the Psalms, we are entering into the sanctuary, the place where God meets men and women in a special way...In the same way that the sanctuaries of the Old Testament, primarily the tabernacle and the temple, were considered to be at the physical center of the people of God, so too is the book of Psalms in the middle of the Bible."  -Tremper Longman III

We are closing our 2022 summer with a series of messages from and about Psalms.  What is your favorite Psalm?  Most of us are familiar with at least some of the Psalms...

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Psalm 23:1

"Those who live in the shelter of the Most High

will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty." -Psalm 91:1

"The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of his hands." - Psalm 19:1

"Your word is a lamp for my feet,

a light on my path." -Psalm 119:105

"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

your works are wonderful, I know that full well." -Psalm 139:14

"Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and all that is within me, bless his holy name." -Psalm 103:1

and on and on and on...

Through this study, it is our hope that our love for God will deepen, and the experiences of God's people throughout the millennia will bring comfort and strength as we join them in worship, lament, thanksgiving, confidence and praise. Join us on Sundays at 11:00 am, either in person or attend online.
